hi there,
It is a good idea to look at USA for an MBA simply because work is available easily for 20 hours per week while you study. In any case 80% of the multinational companies worldwide are american. you will need to take a GMAT and TOEFL as your first step. Your work experience and concerns about career shift etc. come later and are handled at the documentation level. I am aware of all this because my cousins have gone to US through this company called Career Makers. Their website is www.careermakers.net
References :
MBA entrance into the top ranking B-schools in India is based more on the tests (CAT, MAT etc) than on your CV. For abroad, MBA admission is based more on GRE/GMAT. After clearing the test, if you get through Group Discussion well, then your work experience will add value in the interview. Your job switches won't matter much. You have a background with which you will be able to impress upon the interviewers that you are confident, experienced and mature.

You will get a job based on your performance in MBA+previous education + previous experience. It's a combination of all these. I would say that you must not worry about placements now but focus on the preparation for the MBA entrance test.
